I see the Ballard Street Department of Weather Perception is on the job.
This is where Eeyore would go if he needed a pick-me-up.
Melvin needed a little sturm und drang to stir him into action anyway.
Look up you idiot, the sky is up there…sheesh.
All you gotta do is turn your chair around.
“Hey! Who ordered the clouds?”
The scenery crew took a smoke break on their way to the theater. Hey, it’s a better view than the street and parked cars.
Into every life, a little storm scenery must roll…
Looks like a wall of clouds rolling in.
I got the impression it was Buck and Harry’s little idea of a joke….
On their way back to the theater with the freshly painted backdrop, they like to bring a little bad weather to those they think could use it.
They don’t much care for Melvin or his moods… though they would heartily deny it, if pressed.
Whether it’s giving gloomy Melvin something to actually sulk about…
Or further alarming the always overly-alarmed Mrs. Flaherty with an unexpected storm…
Or stopping that unbearably chipper Adele Simmons in her tracks,
when she greets them with chirpy admonitions for smoking on such a beautiful day….
They take the opportunity to ruin the weather for the gullible, while they have the chance.
Until I saw the trollies, I just thought he’d ticked off the wife.
Melvin, the local TV weatherman, likes to see his forecast come true.
I love the sound of a thunderstorm!
“And I just washed my cardboard car…”
This has inspired me. I need partners to help develop sunny days that pop up in your window in the winter.
A slow moving front.. those Ballard St workers are staunch union members and take all the breaks they are entitled to.. and squeeze in a few more.
And tonight, he’ll be singing: “ I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffeeClouds in my coffee, and…”
Must be California. Our weather is mostly make-believe.
Doesn’t appear they are in a hurry to leave anytime soon
Is there some chemical in the town water that causes this wonderful wackadoo place?
I’ve looked at clouds from on the ground, from right up front and all around…
