Just when Edna was trying to cut back on sweets.

Sometimes, the gods must have their laughter. Edna wishes it wasn’t her turn to be the butt of the joke.

Was that pie cooling on the windowsill? Or did the neighbor expend a lovely pie to send Edna a message?

Edna now realizes that Ernestine did hear her comment about the quality of her baked goods…

I hate when that happens, especially on the way to a nice restaurant meal. Having dessert before the main course is just wrong.

Terrific. But where’s the ice cream?

Hey….not crispy enough.

The blueberry crisp is fine. But the cup of coffee is really going to hurt.

Edna always liked upsidedown blueberry crisp. However, she prefers it on a plate. On the bright side, Edna was going to have a blue tint added to her hair. Now she doesn’t have to bother.
