Ballard Street the place that technology forgot.

This is nothing…you should see the Pulley Club’s windows.

I noticed that someone directly communicated with the window corner. Looks like a slingshot.

I could see this in a mall, across from T-Mobile or Verizon.

It’s the personal touch they bring to customer service that makes the difference.

Anybody else finding a lot of their comics haven’t updated. Or is it just me.

Don’t even try to call Direct Communications Customer Service – you’ll be on hold for hours and then dropped!

A short business adventure, they could not compete with the Ballard St. Hair Emporium. There was no detail on Ballard St that was not discussed in depth while under that hair dryer.

Don’t forget the “speaking tube”. It was very ingenious and used in some offices, as well as on ships. Each end of the tube was stoppered with a whistle-cap. You took off the cap on your end and blew hard, which caused the whistle on the other end to sound. They took off the whistle-cap on their end and you could shout at each other down the tube. Good for developing strong lungs. :)

Aaaaahhh, old fashioned communications!!!

I’d take a Cone of Silence instead. Upstairs. – That construction work really sucks.

Don’t they sell semaphores? Ship lanterns? And of course the ever-popular note tied around a brick.

Eventually, party lines would come to Ballard—but it would take awhile.

They left out the pea-shooter.
