Now Nancy will have to explain to Elwood why she needs another new pair of nylons so soon.

Muffin is about to lose patience with Nancy’s rolled-up newspaper.

Those toothpick ankles don’t stand a chance.

I think it is important to know just what it is that Nancy is explaining. If it’s something like, for the sake of argument, nuclear physics, then Muffin has a pretty good case. “She was boring me to death. And over something I could never comprehend.”

If, on the other hand, Nancy is explaining why tipping over the garbage can is a bad idea, then Muffin is going to have to be instructed to modify her behavior henceforth.

It’s 12 minutes past suppertime and the reasons Nancy has for not going to the store for more Alpo is not what Muffin wants to hear right now…!

Explaining why Scooter is the “wrong kind” of guy for Muffin. But, of course, Muffin likes “bad boys”.

Ankle biter.

Unlike Nancy, Muffin likes to get straight to the marrow of the matter.

Surprised Muffin waited as long as she did.. that first finger waddle should have been enough to set her off.
