In the mid-60s in my part of L.A., some of the “profound words” popular among middle schoolers were “Boss” (as in “That’s Boss”, i.e., cool) and “Twitchin’ (since the “B” word was a bad word). Apparently it still is, as GoComics won’t allow me to spell it out!
