Be glad you didn’t get Rumpelstiltskin> In the original Grimm Brothers story, he got so mad when his name was revealed, he grabbed one leg and ripped himself in half…

As an actor, it’s always a bad thing to be typecast.

Not sure I see Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (more commonly known as Alice in Wonderland) and more modern translations of One Thousand and One Nights (aka Arabian Nights) as fairy tales. Same thing for The Adventures of Pinocchio. Actually, not sure I see Little Bo Peep as a fairy tale either, that’s a nursery rhyme.

Snow White, yep, that’s a fairy tale published by the Brother’s Grimm over two hundred years ago. Cinderella, that’s positively ancient with some of the earliest versions dating to the Ancient world (one of the earliest versions is attributed to an Ancient Greek living during the early Roman Empire). Though we’re more familar with Charles Perrault’s version from the late 17th century; and the Brothers Grimm version from 1812 was probably based on Perrault’s version (same publication their version of Snow White appeared in). TThe Little Mermaid, that’s Hans Christian Anderson’s fairy tale from late in the early 19th century. And Little Red Riding Hood is another extremely old fairy tale where the versions we really know today come from Perrault and the Brothers Grimm.
