Folks lay sIEge to a fortified place like a castle or a city with a wall around it. A fief is given by a lord to another lord who swears loyalty to him and did him a valuable service (like capturing a castle or a city with a wall around it). Tyr isn’t the sharpest ax on the rack but he’ll know the rules of this game. (Since he’s a god, who’s higher on the food chain? Odin?) (Sorry ladies, this was usually a game for boys)

I think Tyr means “siege.”
