Peppermint Patty continues, "Can you imagine? His heart was breaking, and he didn't even know it!!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown walks by Peppermint Patty and Lucy. Peppermint Patty shouts, "By golly, if I ever hit a deep drive to center field, and I round first base, and I round second base, and I round third base and I go tearing in to home like a runaway freight, he'd better not be in my way!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown continues to walk. He says, "That's the longest threat I've ever heard!"<BR><BR>

I’ve always felt it’s a bit awkward when Peppermint Patty and Lucy are together. I can’t put my finger on exactly why, but PP makes Lucy seem a little redundant. I don’t know why that should be, since they have totally different personalities and they give Charlie Brown totally different kinds of grief. But I don’t know. Lucy just seems so ineffectual whenever PP’s around.
