So he herds goats among his sheep I guess.

I gues the goat’s not too happy either.

He doesn’t know if any of the sheep are missing because when he tries to count them…

Goat was borrowed from Pastis to complete the toon….lol

Goats among the sheep help protect them from wolves, etc.

A couple of lasting impressions from my youth: “I’m gonna get your goat” and “I’m gonna get your good eye.” I guess it happened because I don’t have either one now…

The rest of them should go on the lamb.

Shepherds have goats in their herd because goats quickly learn to come when called. Sheep, because of their “flocking” instinct, will follow. Makes them easier to control. (Or so my grandfather told me when I was young.)
