Schroeder stands next to a tree and looks up. He says, "I can't believe it . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown approaches. Schroeder says, "Lucy threw my piano up into this tree . . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown grabs Schroeder by the collar and shouts, "Not this tree! Don't say that!" Schroeder asks, "Why? What's so special about this tree?"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown points up and says, "This is a dreaded kite-eating tree!" Schroeder says, "Oh, no!!" The tree thinks, "Chomp chomp chomp."<BR><BR>

Apparently it’s not very discriminating. Boy, I hope no kid tries to climb it!

“Kite-eating”tree, as it turns out here, is the WRONG kind of name, for this tree—ten to one, this tree would eat ANYTHING, that happens to be stuck up in it. Kind of like Cookie Monster, on Sesame Street-in spite of his name, he, too, eats ANYTHING, as we all know.
