Charlie Brown sits on the bench and sweats. He says, "C'mon, get a hit! We need a hit! Oooo, how we need a hit! Please, get a hit . . . Please . . . Please . . ."<BR><BR> Snoopy strikes out on three called strikes.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown frowns and looks angry. Snoopy sits next to him on the bench.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown shouts, "You didn't even swing! That's gonna cost you half your supper tonight!"<BR><BR> Snoopy sits on the bench. He sniffles and looks like he is going to cry.<BR><BR> Snoopy leans against Charlie Brown and smiles. Charlie Brown says, "Rats! Why can't I be rough and tough and mean like all the other managers?"<BR><BR>

Charlie Brown’s mounting rage in panels 6,7,and 8 is GREAT—as if he’s reliving each of Snoopy’s three strikes, in each panel, in his mind, THEN blows his stack in Panel 9.
