It’s kind of a shame that this isn’t allowed anymore. A leaf fire smelled fantastic on a fall day. What’s a little pollution and fire hazard compared to that?? :)

I wish more people would just allow their leaves to decay on the ground – it’s probably the best natural fertilizer. Since we no longer burn leaves for the most part, many people bag them up and all these bags of leaves end up in landfills.
