Charlie Brown sits up in bed. He is wearing his baseball cap. "Another game today...If we win, we'll be only ten games out of seventh place..."<BR><BR> Sally stands facing Charlie Brown, who sits on the floor with his shoes. She asks, "Why do you always put your left shoe on first, Big Brother?"<BR><BR> A close up of Charlie Brown, who answers, "Well, actually, I don't...I only put it on first on days when we have a baseball game..."<BR><BR> Looking up at her, he adds, "I guess it's kind of a superstition... Baseball players have lots of superstitions.." "What would happen if you didn't do it?" asks Sally.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown puts on his shoes and says, "Well, we'd probably lose the game." "Have you ever won?" asks Sally. She is sitting next to him.<BR><BR> Shroeder approaches Linus and Snoopy, who are seated on a bench. Shroeder asks, "Where's our pitcher?" Linus says, "I don't know...I haven't seen him..."<BR><BR> Shroeder heads towards a doorstep.<BR><BR> He stands stil: "?!"<BR><BR> He looks at Charlie Brown, who is still seated on the floor, shoeless. Shroeder says, "I don't understand... The game is ready to start, and you're still sitting here in your bedroom without your shoes on!"<BR><BR>

I think Sally broke Charlie Brown.

So that’s what he’d been doing wrong all these years – if only he had been putting on his right shoe first, it would be victory every day!
