Peppermint Patty sits at her desk in school. She says, "No, ma'am . . . I didn't get my report written becasue I slept in the rain all night!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown sits behind Peppermint Patty. Peppermint Patty says, "I tried to write it this morning, but my hair was wet and the water kept dripping down on the paper."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty continues, "Why didn't I do it the night before? Becasue there are no lights!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown blushes. Peppermint Patty says, "Ask Chuck about his stupid guest cottage!!!"<BR><BR>

At least now it would be only a mere five months, until PP would find out both the real identity, of “Chuck’s guest cottage,” and Snoopy’s identity, of course, that he’s a dog, and no “funny looking kid with a big nose.”,plus the socalled guest cottage is a doghouse.

Can’t blame CB’s hurt expression in Panel 2, due to the searing look he gets from PP, -he never really invited her over; she “invited herself,” by walking right on and over Chuck. Anyway, Marcie even told Patty she was welcome to stay with her, but still, Peppermint Patty positively refused.
