Snoopy lies under a pile of wood. Marcie begins to walk and says, "Come on, sir . . . Let's go home." Peppermint Patty looks at Snoopy and says, "A beagle?"<BR><BR> Marcie says, "I don't know how we'll explain missing school today, but I'll think of something . . . ." Peppermint Patty looks back and says, "A beagle?"<BR><BR> Marcie and Peppermint Patty walk in the grass. Marcie says, "We could say we had sore throats, but that would be lying . . ." Peppermint Patty says, "A beagle!"<BR><BR> Marcie says, "Psychological problems! That's it! We'll tell them we had some psychologocal problems." Peppermint Patty looks back and says, "A beagle?"<BR><BR>

And then Peppermint Patty felt forced to stay home from school for a while, anyway, as she was TOO EMBARRASSED, to face the other kids, after how TERRIBLY WRONG she had been, over the past eight years, about Snoopy’s “identity.” Even at this moment, she might as well be standing there in her underwear—THAT"S how embarrassed she was—TERRIBLY.
