Beethoven though was hardly averse to feminine company, and always seemed to be falling in love. Even though he was not considered particularly good looking, nevertheless many women reciprocated his feelings, a lot of them beautiful and of high nobility. There is the mysterious “Immortal Beloved” referred to in a letter Beethoven never sent, whom some scholars believe might have been a noble lady named Josephine Brunsvik, and her daughter Minona might have been her love child with Beethoven.
