Snoopy and Woodstock are playing ice hockey in the birdbath.<BR><BR> They skate across the ice.<BR><BR> They fumble around the puck.<BR><BR> They skate towards the puck.<BR><BR> bump! Woodstock nudges Snoopy, who goes flying over the edge of the birdbath rink.<BR><BR> "CHEAP SHOT! CHEAP SHOT!" Snoopy, half-buried in a snowdrift, yells angrily.<BR><BR> "!" thinks Snoopy as he clambers up the side of the ice rink birdbath, hockey stick in paw.<BR><BR> Woodstock and Snoopy stand on either side of the puck. Snoopy raises his brows and thinks, "Actually, it was a good legal check, but you never want to admit it!"<BR><BR>

Well, considering Snoopy had gotten whopped off the bird bath INTO THE SNOW, it’s no wonder probably, that he’d rather claim it was a “cheap shot.” Sunday, 11/10/2024, the 50th anniversary of this strip.
