Months earlier, Gary Dahl, an ad executive, sold 1.5 million Pet Rocks. It became a great present for Christmas 1975. However, although Dahl did became rich and bought a mansion and enough food to feed his pets, the Pet Rock fad lasted for six months until the end of the year. Which explains why Sally is holding one.
