Just goes to show you how DATED this strip is! Do teachers even make students do that anymore, make them write something a specified number of times—either on a piece of paper, or sometimes, on the blackboard—as punishment, and also as a way of making the student promise never to whatever, in question, again? Times have changed—including even in terms of discipline, I have heard—so that’s why I wonder, if forcing a student to write,“I will not do whatever..” a certain number of times, usually one hundred, is practiced by teachers, anymore?(Elementary school, of course.)

Oh yes, times have changed. Bring back corporal punishment will straighten out these spoiled rotten brats.
