I love cinnamon, but if I get too much, it numbs my taste buds for days and nothing has any taste.

Man, I miss those. But, I could never understand why everyone thought they were hot.

That brings back memories and sadness as candy back then was cheap.

Remember when candies came in long strings of cellophane packets that hung on a spinner rack, and each string cost only a nickel?

There are drawbacks to cinnamon candies. If taken for long periods of time, cinnamon will start to cause a deterioration of the tissue in your mouth. I didn’t know this until I looked it up. A few years ago I started chewing " Big Red" cinnamon chewing gum. After a week or so, I noticed that the surface tissues in my mouth started to slough off. I researched it online and found that it isn’t uncommon. Soon after I quite the gum, the inside of my mouth returned to normal. A shame, really, I really liked that gum.
