How mournful Charlie Brown looks in Panel 3, as he stares wistfully at Linus’ heap of valentines, looking as if to say,“Hopeless! Just HOPELESS!”(for himself, of course.)

It’s really a mystery how someone who has friends get no valentines. Especially if he’s sitting right next to him
