Lucy kneels in the grass looking off to her left. She exclaims, "Over here! I'm over here!" Charlie Brown stands nearby and replies, "I can't believe it..."<BR><BR> As Lucy smiles up at Charlie Brown, he frowns and exclaims, "Not again!"<BR><BR> He closes his eyes and says, "Does she really think I'm such a fool? Not again!"<BR><BR> He walks off saying, "Am I dumb enough to think she's going to let me kick that football? I can't believe it! Not again!"<BR><BR> He stops and prepare to run. He says, "Am I really going to try it? Not again!"<BR><BR> He runs along saying, "I can't believe I'm trying it! Is it really happening again?"<BR><BR> He screams and flips up in the air as Lucy moves the ball away. He lands on the ground with a WUMP.<BR><BR> As he lies grimacing on the ground, Lucy leans over him and says, "Again, Charlie Brown...and again,and again and again."<BR><BR>

Charlie Brown literally talked himself into doing it.
In the special, “It’s Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown,” Lucy pulls the football away (repeatedly) during an actual football game. The fans were outraged, not over the fact that Lucy did this, but that Charlie Brown was being blamed for something that is clearly not his fault.
