9 times out of 10 the handicap parking spots are always empty for the most part in most parking lots, with the one exception of Wal-Mart. There they are in high demand there.
Where I live the police will not respond to any parking lot regardless of the circumstances, an accident, someone in a handicap slot, parking in a fire lane, etc. The reasoning, it’s a private lot and up to the owners to police it.
I admire that some establishments provide many handicap spaces. But when you’ve got that many, the ones that are further away aren’t any closer than regular parking spaces.

What’s the current fine for parking in a handicap spot w/out the permit tag? Here in Nyc it’s $65 last I heard and thank goodness I have a permit..
