As a coach of a girl’s team for years, I found that to be quite true. There were a lot of absentee fathers in our area and I ended up being the surrogate Daddy in a number of cases.

My middle child drew blood the first 4 games she played in Middle School. Her job was to get the ball out of her zone. She couldn’t help it if the other kid’s face was in the way.
