He came anyway!"<BR><BR> A happy Peppermint Patty says, "Take the head off, Chuck . . I'm gonna give you a big kiss!"<BR><BR> Snoopy wears the pelican costume. He smiles and awaits a kiss. A surprised Peppermint Patty makes a face."<BR><BR>

A missed opportunity for Chuck. On the flip side, why would Patty want to kiss someone’s who’s been sweating in that suit for the past day?

When this was adapted into an episode of “The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show,” Snoopy actually kissed Peppermint Patty after the unmasking!

Why is wearing a pelican suit degrading for Chuck but not degrading for Snoopy?
Being a team mascot is just a job. Never tried it but it may compare favorably to fast food service…
