Transcript:
Georgie: Hi, Bull. You going to see "Freaky Friday?" Tippit: No, the girls are. I'm going to-- uh-- a more grown-up movie. And you? You're going to a rodeo? Man: Dude, the hat's a style statement. Tippit: Dude, if you're not a cowboy, the hat's a costume. Georgie: They're letting you into a grown-up movie?

The drama and action that could be about to happen in the lobby might be better than in the movies

It’s pretty clear that Bull is worried that Georgie has found herself another man and now he is suffering some possessive attachment to her and the fear of a broken heart. Story of my life.

I have to keep reminding myself that this strip is from 2003 as I have the urge to say to Georgie’s date: “Dude the ’90s called and they want back the wardrobe and the haircut….”.

Looks like it could be a shootout at the RKO corral.

I tend to think like Bull about cowboy hats, but then I consider baseball caps, like Bull wears, and all the non-baseball players who wear them, me included. The difference, I guess, is cowboys are iconic, they came to represent a very select historical personality (even though cowboys wore different kinds of hats), while baseball caps have become generic. Another example is the Indiana Jones hat, icon of the adventurer.

Those are the comments I think, but can’t bring myself to say aloud.

Coach Bro, you’re wearing a hat, too. Costume?
