FYI, in 2013 (when this ran) Shocked shocked her audience at a San Francisco appearance by giving an impromptu speech against same-sex marriage. I figure this may be a reference to that.
(Shocked’s sexuality is unclear/undeclared, but she’s been married to one man and is now in a long-term relationship with another. She was raised deeply Christian (Mormon), and at least some of it stuck.)
