similar to the carpentry tid-bit “measure twice and cut once”, you should measure the Christmas lights twice and hang them once

Must be the first time putting them up. After the first time you should have every thing you need.

They’d better leave the lights up till February or they’ll never get their money’s worth.

Only problem is what goes up must come down . Unless you are doing quality control and wish to see if the lights will still work after being left up all year ;-)

Doesn’t matter if you are a plugger or not. It is virtually impossible to make just one trip to the hardware store.

Yep. Never fails.

yup, one would think after this many years, one would have everything (well, except replacement bulbs of course)

Always happens.

There’s technology and “Oh look that’s new!” I’ve rewired some decorations with LED lights. Then there are new lighted decorations I’ve wanted. Finally, one can never have too many extension cords!

It’s mandatory that each home project requires at least three trips to the hardware store.

And when a plugger has to do any type of plumbing job or repair he has to make at least THREE trips to the hardware store before the job is done.
