Uh oh! Is that other cat guy smiting Wally because of what was in the backpack? And we have to wait a whole weekend to find out what’s in it?! Such cruelty, Aaron! Then again, I guess we can spend the weekend guessing what could be inside.
What a surprise cliff-hanger for the weekend! Can’t wait to find out (a) who this new character is (b) why he clobbered Wally (c) why Wally is so upset about his backpack (d) why someone was snooping in his room in the first place.
@Bronkster: Pernicious cat-ism! I suspected as much.. :-) ALL of those issues will be addressed, but it’s going to take time. I’ll eventually even explain what that thing on his shirt is..
There’s no comparison with Pigborn. The art in Pigborn is certainly of the finest quality, but I just cannot follow the story or keep the characters straight.
@James: We haven’t dipped into Flask’s backstory yet. This is the same timeline as the previous story. Al, Gustine, Flask, etc, are all off elsewhere. Their paths will all cross again sooner or later.
I’m ready to start hollering Discrimination Against Cats! Every cat in this story has been shown in a negative light - Flask, Wally, the guy in the restaurant, and now the guy at the hotel. Shame!
:-)
I don’t really see how Wally has been cast negatively. Outside of the catnip fiasco, he’s been a very human. Which would probably be an insult to cats … !

Well. Looks like my theory about a surprise party was a tad off.

Ignore him, Aaron! He’s one of those guys that think all felines look alike! :P
But I want to echo all of Davidf42’s concerns.

@Aaron Neathery
Question: is this part of the back-story for Blackie, or is it the same time as Al & Gustine?

… but the REAL question is: Why is he being bludgeoned with a Corn Dog?
