My brother’s teacher gave his class mashed potatoes on april fools day and told them it was ice cream. They even had chocolate sauce and whipped cream. :)

This happened in a TV show where a kid said he didn’t like ice cream. So his friend made him eat it but it was mashed potato.

It’s more the unexpected nature of the thing that makes it disgusting. Ice cream cones are just a type of bread and there’s nothing inherently disgusting about combining mashed potatoes with ’em, other than that the mind expects one thing but gets something else.
