I worked at a company where we had to fill out self-assessment forms, but we were told the things would have no impact on promotions or bonuses. I graded myself as 5 out of 5 for everything except “working well on teams.” I gave myself a 4 on that. Everyone has something they can improve about themselves.
I just got my annual evaluation last week. I’ve got a new supervisor and he uses a lot of weird big words. I’m stumped and I can’t do my sign-off on it until I’ve looked up “malodorous,” “somnolent,” and “bibulous.”

Self-assessment forms? I knew I was working in too big a company when it actually became mandatory to fill those out.
