I used to carry offprints of the section of the Texas Family Code called the Parents Bill of Rights. Informs them they own nothing. Until they’re 18, everything belongs to their parents to dispose of as they please. That includes gifts, things bought with money grandma gave them, their clothes, everything. Any money they make also belongs to their parents.
