Then you didn’t do it right. That is a ”might makes right” response. Respect for the boundaries, and the consequences for crossing them, is correct. We grew up wishing we didn’t have boundaries, then gave that to our kids. Their kids were given even fewer restrictions, and look where we are now. We can blame the youngsters, but the fault isn’t theirs…
