I don’t think that Betty is being a bitch or particularly condescending. She loves Bud. Let’s not forget the number of times Bud made fun of Betty’s running, okay? She’s fairly observant and is genuinely surprised to find that he takes the time to care for his teeth. That being said, since she’s likely to also be in charge of purchasing said floss, she’d be aware of how much was being used.
