Harley reminds me of Steve, a janitor at the Forest Service station I worked at. One day we received a traveling display in a couple of wooden crates, and Steve and I were detailed to assemble it.
It was a giant Tinkertoy, with stick pieces and the round pieces they inserted into, and the display panels were attached to the sticks.
Every couple of minutes, someone would come by, and stop, and look for a half a minute, and then say “You know what that looks like? A Tinkerboy!”
And every time, I’d stop what I was doing, and look dubiously at it for a moment, and then I’d say, “Hey! You’re right! IT LOOKS LIKE A TINKERTOY! Steve, look at this! What do you think? Like a Tinkertoy!”
And Steve would chuckle, very quietly, in his beard.

If Harley were less likeable, he would be a jerk of all trades.

Frankly, I can’t blame Harley. I don’t hate spiders, but I can see why a lot of people find them creepy.
