    We need more of that type of justice today.

    There are too many judges now trying to write the law instead of interpreting the law.

    Judges are to apply the law, not interpret it nor write it. But, they should have discretion when applying it. The world is not black and white and they must be allowed to make adjustments when circumstances warrant it. Mandatory sentencing laws are antithetical to what our country is founded on.
