I think that “sail” is used to attract the opposite sex.. Not sure if the captain will be.. obliging.. to keep that sail up.

So they created a sail back which wasn’t a dinosaur. Someone in the project was nostalgic for Permian style mammal-like reptiles.

This is a very sweet cartoon. I love how happy the dinosaur looks when he gets to go for a ride on the raft. (geek alert: yes, I am aware a dimetrodon is not technically a dinosaur. But that’s the least inaccuracy here!)
