I still have a fond memory of an incident that happened decades ago. Winston, my Scottie was not allowed on the furniture. My parents and I came home and found him sitting in my dad’s recliner, with one front leg casually resting on ,one of the padded arm rests. He looked pretty proud of himself until he caught sight of the three of us staring at him and his proud demeanor dissolved into a the shocked recognition that he had not heard us enter the house. We couldn’t help but chuckle as his self importance turned to embarrassment
