When one of our cats was a kitten she jumped on the piano and fell on the keyboard. She has had the moniker/middle names of “Melodious Thunk” ever since and responds to “Mellie” as well has the other name we use for her.
I knew that John Coltrane was from my hometown in NC, but I didn’t realize until today that Thelonius Monk was from nearby Mount Airy which is the real-life Mayberry.
