Lucy approaches Charlie Brown as he sits on the floor reading. She says, "Everybody's been teasing me, Charlie Brown..." He asks, "Why?"<BR><BR> She stoops next to him and continues, "They say that you're my boy friend..isn't that funny?" He replies, "Oh, yes...that's a riot"<BR><BR> She asks, "Do you think we'll ever get married?" He snaps, "Not unless I lose my mind!"<BR><BR> She walks off saying, "Well, at least there's SOME hope..."<BR><BR>

She’s nowhere near interested in Schroeder yet. Younger Lucy has not yet developed her tastes or absorbed Violet’s personality yet.
