it could be “Contact light” or “shutdown” which preceded out of dentent. I listened live and I knew they were down when i heard “contact light, shutdown” I was a young space geek (now I am an old space geek)

Yes, so “technically” speaking when the probes touched the soil, they were “down”. Shutdown (engine off) put them firmly on the ground.
