It’s true that “space”, depending on your definition, is only a teeny bit over 60 miles straight up. That would be an hour at 60mph.
But to to escape the pull of gravity that’s holding you back, your car’s engine would need to work a LOT harder than that….
It takes so much energy it would propel you over 17,000 mph on a surface road.
But once you reach that speed, it takes less than 10 minutes to get there.
And if you don’t reach it, you ain’t goin’ nowhere.
Sorry Axel. Next he’s going to pull out the book of Even Facts. Then you’ll learn how far you can go in two hours.

I confess, that’s a fact that never ceases to amaze me. Earth’s atmosphere and gravity are but a thin veneer over its vast expanses of water and land.
It’s odd that he would choose that book. Well, maybe not.
