“You’re NUTS, Linus!” Violet tells him.“I mean it, YOU ARE! You and your Great Pumpkin! You talk like a mad scientist, or like someone who’s just gotten hit on the head! You’re a STARK RAVING NUT!” And as it was, over the next 35 plus years, he NEVER DID grow up, about the “Great Pumpkin,” all the way up until the VERY END—-Halloween, 1999, not very long before Schulz ceased production of Peanuts.
