I had a much smaller basketball for my golden retriever which she’d roll into the woods, and I’d have to go find it. Years after she died, I found it rotting in the woods. A very sad sight. Molly figured out how to use her canine teeth to destroy the air valve in the large soft-plastic balls. They were squishy and easier to pick up and carry around. Tennis balls became the ball of choice out of necessity.
