Charlie Brown stands on the pitcher's mound. Frieda holds out a flower and says, "Hold your chin up, Charlie Brown . . . "<BR><BR> Charlie Brown holds up his chin. Frieda says, "I'm going to tickle you with this dandelion . . . If your chin turns yellow, it means you like butter . . . "<BR><BR> Frieda shouts, "Hey, look! Charlie Brown likes butter!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown says, "I wonder if my fondness for dairy products will help us win ball games?"<BR><BR>

Seems once when I was a kid, and into Peanuts, Mom had told me that what Frieda does here, was one of kids’ favorite pastimes, back in the day—tickling someone under the chin with a dandelion, and if your chin turned yellow, it meant “you supposedly liked butter.”

Of course, that would be just superstition, or an old wives’ tale, of course(even something done in fun, not that it was real.)

Somehow this weird tradition survived into the 90s, except it was with a buttercup not dandelion
