I’m not sure “full-bodied pinot noir” computes. Pinot noir is a rather delicate (if delightfully flavorful) wine. Connoisseurs scorned the “fruit bombs” that California vineyards tended to turn out, before people discovered that the Willamette Valley in Oregon was the perfect habitat for the pinot (a.k.a. “heartbreaker”) grape.
