(Rex Morgan) If Berna tears up the lottery ticket, half of nothing is…nothing.
(Mark Trail) Earlier, the woman said something about Mark being “an American.” Now she says that plans from the island “fly to the states.” Two clues that the island is outside the U.S.
(Mary Worth) Let’s hope that Dawn leaves her smartphone home.
(FoxTrot) Ordering a shake (batido)…plus! I am learning some new Spanish words trying to read FT Espanol.
(Rex Morgan) I am new to this strip but Dex is acting like a spoiled brat. What’s he going to do if Berna breaks her promise, stamp his feet and cry how mean she is? He should be counting his blessings, not going off the deep end. Anything is better than nothing..
@woodworker318 (Rex) I came into the strip right about the time Brenda Starr ended - Berna had just discovered she had the winning lottery ticket. My impression was that she was thrilled with the windfall, but her life was already happy - she liked her job with Dr. Rex & June and she & Dex had a good sister/brother relationship. However, it seems that Dex has not handled the windfall well. The ticket is (presumably) in June & Rex’s office safe, but Dex has already gone a credit-card shopping spree and blabbed about the $6-million-dollar winnings to store clerks, etc. And now he has indeed gone off the deep end.
woodworker318, I got the impression that Dex isn’t really “all there”. He lives with his caregiver sister and the way he’s portrayed, it’s understandable that he’s acting like a child.

(Blondie) We have a crossover with Mother Goose and Grimm
(One Big Happy) What did Ruthie kick under the car?
(Crankshaft) It turned out sad.
(Phantom) I hope Kit doesn’t get lost.
(Mother Goose and Grimm) A crossover with Popeye.
(Mark Trail) Probably an island in the Caribbean.

(REX) Am still not sure she has the ticket!
(3G) Margo, like your not starry eyed on Trey, huh!
(MW) (panel#1) I think she has that thing glued to her hand:-)
@davidf42 That was wild “Blondie and Mothergoose and Grimm” strips. I read both faithfully everyday in my paper.
