Damn, I never realized that when Patrick Henry declaimed,“And as for me, give me liberty or give me death”, or when Benjamin Franklin predicted that “Those who are willing to trade liberty for security will have neither”, they were encouraging selfishness. Indeed, the entire Revolutionary War was a selfish event that needlessly cost lives just for a little freedom.And those selfish people who fought the Civil War to obtain freedom for the slaves – stupid idiots that cost America over half-a-million dead for trivialities.
