Wow. What Blog posts today. So many memoriesā¦ the table skittles reminded me of playing nok-hockey back in the early 60āsā¦ and they still make it, even in this sophisticated electronic age. āIzāā¦ what a beautiful voice, and so tragic to have lost him so early.

re blog: or should I say le blogā¦. agreeā¦ nice fingersā¦. andā¦ the phrase āsuccessful designer of greeting cardsāā¦ the mind reels at the comments that could be madeā¦..
Canada on the Blog: Itās interesting that the Canadians receive their dead soldiers by lining the highway and overpasses, waving flags, and weeping.
We allow some people to āwelcomeā ours by carrying signs and screaming epithets at their funerals. Itās āfree speech.ā
Iāve crossed the Ambassador Bridge probably over a hundred times, and the first girl I ever kissed was Canadian. I have fond memories of Canada. ;-)
Why they put vinegar on their French fries, I will never understand.
They Played Izā āOver the Rainbowā at my young first cousinās, once removed, funeral two weeks ago. It was perfect. He was only 34, and was getting married in May.
Re the guy who drove into a patch of cement.
One time on the worldās longest parking lot, we were stuck in traffic in an construction zone. The left lane was being reconstructed and was partially paved, a big section of the lane beyond the new cement, was just rebar, ready for the road crew to pour the cement for the new roadway.
While we were waiting, some dude (with his friends and possibly their dates) decided that the traffic was too slow, so he pulled into the left lane zipping past all of us who were sitting in traffic. The next thing we saw was the dudeās car briefly airborne then landing solidly on the open rebar. It was a LOL moment.

(BTW - really enjoyed the Brokaw/Canada segment - great!)
grapfhics almost 14 years ago
Ushindi, was there an umbrella? I think they are looking for sanctuary.
