    At least the heavy part is in the front. My son had one of the largest crt based tv made. It was a 42-inch! We carried it up to the third floor of two different apartments before he got a flat screen. You may ask why he had it but crt’s do black screen better.

    Cathode ray tubes for early oscilloscopes weren’t much shorter than that.

    I’ve got one CRT left in the house, my old Tektronix 465 Analog Oscilloscope. Looked on eBay, they’re still getting a good price. I might turn it on once a year. But I did find a cart at government surplus.
